Ductile iron pipe with locking connection BLS type
DUKTUS is the VonRoll-hydro brand of ductile iron socket-spigot pipes DN 80 -1000 with its accessories to build pipeline systems for infrastructure and industries. Dedicated to potable water, sewage water, industry applications and gas. Produced in different thickness classes for normal standard pressures and high pressures up to 100 bars. Made in Wetzlar, Germany:
1) Ductile iron pipes, fittings and valves with BLS type socket restrained connection. Its longitudinal restrained (positive locking) ductile iron BLS socket pipes, BLS socket fittings and valves
2) Ductile iron pipes, fittings, valves and hydrants with standard TYTON socket connection. Its not restrained ductile iron TYTON socket pipes, TYTON fittings, TYTON valves and hydrants.
3) Ductile iron pipes with friction restrained coating and TYTON SIT-PLUS gaskets connection. Its friction restrained DI TYTON BRS pipes, restrained by TYTON-SIT-PLUS gaskets (lower PFA-max. allowable working pressure with possible lower resistance against surface damage at connection place).
The purpose and installation define the inside and outside lining/coating:
Inside coating:
- Cement mortal lining, different for water and sewage liquids.
Outside coating:
- Zipox = hot 200g/m2 Zn & Epoxy coating.
- Zipox+ = hot 400g/m2 ZnAl alloy & Epoxy coating.
- ZMU = hot 200g/m2 Zn & fiber reinforced cement Epoxy coating (best price/value ratio for any installation method and most soil environment conditions).
- PUR = solid polyurethane (up to DN 700; for the hardest conditions, lowest energy losses, created by inside friction).
